My hair is long (about half way down my back) and thick. It also ranges in color from platinum blond to golden blond, so I try to find products that will preserve its natural color. I selected the Lemon "flavor" because lemon is said to make blond hair prettier. The scent is nice and fresh and lemony--kinda like lemonade on a hot sticky July day in Baltimore.Because my hair is attached to a 61-year old head, I try to protect it more than I did when I was 25 years old. I selected Avalon Organics because it sounded like a healthy product for my hair. Reading from the bottle, it is enriched with shea butter and babassu oil, plus vitamin E and argintine (amino acid). The lemon removes dulling build-up and the Shea Butter adds shine to restore natural highlights and color. The babassu oil restores hair strength. 100% vegetarian ingredients. No animal testing. No artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, or parabens. Made in Canada. 11 fl oz/325 ml.The bottle is firm plastic with a secure screw-on/off cap that you can also push on and squeeze the bottle. So, I'm saying that it seems like it would generally survive the rough treatment in your luggage from the airport.I like it a lot and it makes my hair smell nice. It seems to work well in that it does not dull my hair or strip it, but keeps my pretty natural color in tact. It helps to make combing this heavy hair much easier. I am quite pleased with it.
