We know, we bought one of the other chairs on ebay that said 'made in china' on the box. When we had the wood checked, it was not teak.
If you're concerned about wood furniture and its effects on the environment, teak is an environmentally friendly product if you go with the right supplier. Teak is native Southeast Asia, and many nations from that area that supply it carefully regulate the harvesting of these trees on plantations to ensure that this valuable natural resource isn't squandered. Indonesia especially is known for their environmental responsibility when it comes to forest management.

Teak is a little more expensive than other outdoor furniture materials, but for good reason. Keep in mind that the teak will likely be the last you will have to buy in your lifetime.

This is a great looking item. It was just the right size to fit in the bathtub and was very sturdy. I could also see it being used for a side table outdoors. The only small disadvantage is that it is very difficult to fold up to store.

This shower seat is just what we were looking for- something that would fit nicely in our walk-in shower & something that we could use as a bench and a table in it. It looks beautiful and the wood is of great quality. Feels like we are showering in a spa. Love it!
