I have been taking these for about one month. Without changing anything else, my BP dropped about 2 points systolic and 1 point diastolic. The caps contain 300mg of grapeseed extract which according to a new study from the University of California at Davis found that when subjects were given 300 mg of grape seed extract, their systolic pressure (the top number) was lowered by an average of 12 points. At the same time, diastolic pressure (the bottom number) dropped by 8 points. What's more, those who took the supplement also reduced their LDL (bad) cholesterol. I have been a fan of New Chapter for some time. I had a lifetime of chronic anemia and had never been able to tolerate iron supplements. I tried New Chapter's Iron on a friend's recommendation with fantastic results. I have normal hemoglobin now with no gastric side effects from the pills. Since then I have trialed some of their other products. My mum and husband both take Take Care. My mother has strokes and heart attacks and was willing (after much argument) to take two high blood pressure meds from her doctor. 160/85 lowered to 140/80 with conventional meds. She agreed to start taking this and her last check up at the doctor's showed 122/75. She also has a home b/p cuff and took her b/p 2-7 times a week the year before and now 6 months after starting this pill. She keeps all the reading in a notebook. The numbers look better. Now I can't swear that is all from this med, but she had not changed anything else (prescriptions, diet, hydration, overall stress) in her life for over almost a year. I can only find one thing to credit and that is New Chapter. I put my husband on them at the same time but we do not check his b/p regularly.

My husband was on prescribed blood pressure meds for 1 year and we tried this product but doubled the caps to 2 a day and it brought his blood pressure completely back within normal range. Even after a high stress situation, he had his bp checked in the ER and it was totally normal. The best price I could find was the 60 vcaps on Amazon w/free shipping.
