...and other comments are wrong. There is NO unpleasant smell at all! I got a 4.9 oz. tin and it is amazing so far. I work in a factory. I work with pure cotton blends and I load barrels of cotton stock all night ( good exercise- im a size 2 (US)) But,,,the pure raw cotton dries out my hands so bad they crack and form bad callouses. THIS product is so rich and fresh and REAL and heals better than any lotions on the american market. Nothing comes close so far. And there is barely a scent at all. It is a light pleasant scent. Barely noticeable. I was so lucky ( or blessed?) to find this tin of magic at a local shop for a very very low price. I wont say where. But it is well worth the regular price if you have extremely dry hands or feet and no other "creams" are a relief. I am so glad I bought this amazing product! Working women need care too. And my hands and feet are softer than ever. The 4.9 oz tin is big enough to share. Buy this and it lasts a long time because it is PURE shea butter. Youll feel like you have new skin just after applying this. I cant say enough!

Used this twice daily during my first pregnancy with twins. This is great! Ended up with NO marks at all. This is the best Shea Butter.

I've had great success using different kinds of shea butter, mostly to make my feet look better in sandles. I've always wanted to try L'Occitane's products but hesitated because they seem expensive. I was happy to find this mini tin of pure shea butter. I guess I didn't read the size carefully when I ordered as I was surprised at how tiny this tin actually was when it arrived. Still, I know a little shea butter goes a long way so I didn't mind too much. Yet when I opened the tin I was struck by the unpleasant smell. I've used pure, refined shea butter (no scent) and pure, unprocessed shea butter (slightly nutty scent) before, but neither smelled like the L'Occitane mini shea butter tin I received. The shea butter works well but the smell is so unpleasant to me that I'm only using it on my feet when I wear socks and shoes, or at bedtime. It softens my heels well and keeps them looking soft but I will try another brand of pure shea butter next time.
